Since early 2026, WJ-Tuning has been working intensively on developing and testing various exhaust systems for the Piaggio Maxi. To date, we have tested 15 different exhaust systems, four of which are our own designs.
During these tests, we developed an exhaust system that delivered approximately 2 Nm more torque at comparable peak power. On our Toronda 65×55, this resulted in an improvement of about 1 second in the 0-100 km/h sprint, with a final time of 3.4 seconds and first place at the NSSC.
The final exhaust pipe is 3D-printed from stainless steel. This means we are not limited to traditional rolled cones and can use shapes that are difficult or impractical to produce using conventional manufacturing methods.

The current prototype was developed for a drag scooter and, as a result, its design is not suitable for a standard scooter.
That's why we're looking for two people who want to work with us to develop the street versions:
– 1 Gilera Runner
– 1 Piaggio Zip
You’ll have complete input on the appearance and placement of the exhaust. A traditional back-to-back design, a 360° design, over the rear wheel, or something completely different—we’ll decide this together.
We'll create a complete 3D scan of your scooter and then design the exhaust system to fit your scooter perfectly, involving you in the design process.
The goal: to develop an exhaust system that not only delivers high performance but also fits perfectly and looks just right on a street-oriented Piaggio Maxi.
