Description: This complete overhaul kit repairs the engine mounts of Piaggio and Gilera 2-stroke scooters with swing arms. The rear swing arm is designed as a floating construction (parallelogram) to dampen vibrations. However, after years of use, parts wear out:
– Plastic subframe bushings deform or wear out – Silent blocks dry out or tear
Consequence: play, instability, crooked block, and often rejection during inspection (such as TÜV). With this set, you can replace all wear-sensitive parts and restore the suspension to top condition.
Note / Tips: – Check the diameter of the plastic bushings on older models (SKR, Typhoon, Hexagon EX) — some require slight adjustment (reaming). – Use water-resistant grease during assembly to prevent rust and jamming. – Replace the rear swing arm if it is visibly damaged or worn.
